Energy Networks con la Cámara de Comercio Británica Argentina y en colaboración con la Embajada de la República Argentina en el Reino Unido han organizado este evento para alentar a las empresas de energía limpia del Reino Unido y Europa a considerar a Argentina como uno de los mejores mercados emergentes en los que invertir hoy. Argentina tiene actualmente 102 proyectos nuevos, 19 ya están en operación comercial y 83 están en plena construcción. En números: 3.7GW de New Power, 5.200 millones de dólares de inversión directa y 7.300 nuevos empleos.
Hive Energy, Elmya y FieldFare Renewables están trabajando en Argentina. FieldFare se adjudicó proyectos de 180MW en la primera licitación pública en Argentina bajo el Programa RenovAr de Argentina RenewableEnergy Auctions – RenovAr.
Argentina apunta a que el 20 por ciento de su energía se origine de fuentes de energía limpia para 2025, que actualmente es del 2 por ciento, y el Banco Mundial ha respaldado esto con una garantía de US $ 480 millones para promover la inversión privada en el sector. El desarrollo de fuentes de energía renovable en Argentina es crucial para diversificar la red eléctrica y contribuir a la mitigación del cambio climático. La garantía del Banco Mundial apoyará el Fondo para el Desarrollo de Energías Renovables (FODER), que facilita la financiación de proyectos bajo el Programa RenovAr a través del Ministerio de Energía y Minería del país, representado en este evento por Maximiliano Morrone, Director Nacional de Energías Renovables, Ministerio de Energía y Minas, Gobierno de Argentina.

Energy Networks with the British Argentine Chamber of Commerce and in collaboration with the Embassy for the Argentine Republic in the UK have arranged this event to encourage UK and European clean energy businesses to consider Argentina as one of the best emerging markets to invest in today. Argentina currently has 102 new projects, 19 are already in commercial operation and 83 are in full construction. In numbers: 3.7GW of New Power, 5.200 million dollars of direct investment and 7,300 new jobs.

Argentina aims for 20 percent of its energy to originate from clean energy sources by 2025, which currently stands at 2 percent, and the World Bank has supported this with a US$ 480 million guarantee to promote private investment in the sector. The development of renewable energy sources in Argentina is crucial for diversifying the power grid and contributing to climate change mitigation. The World Bank guarantee will support the Fund for the Development of Renewable Energy (FODER), which facilitates financing of projects under the RenovAr Programme via the country’s Ministry of Energy and Mining, represented at this event by Maximiliano Morrone, National Director of Renewable Energies, Ministry of Energy & Mines, Government of Argentina.

The 38 areas comprise:
● 14 areas of the Northern Argentina Basin (7 deep water blocks – WD 200 to 1,300m – from 6,000 to 9,000 km2, and 7 ultra-deep water blocks – WD 1,200 to 4,000m – from 3,000 to 9,000 km2);
● 6 areas of the Austral Sea Basin (shallow water – WD below 100m) from 2,000 to 2,700 km2; and
● 18 areas of the Western Malvinas Basin (deep water – WD 100 to 700m) from 3,600 to 6,300 km2. Interested parties can file the documents required by the Bidding Terms to be included in the list of prequalified bidders, acquire access codes to the Virtual Database, and submit their queries to the SE regarding the Bid Terms. Queries and clarifications regarding the Bidding Terms will be published in the SE’s website. Deadline will be on February 14, 2019.
The opening date for offers by the bidders will be on March 14, 2019. The list of offers with respect to each block and their bidders will be published later in the SE’s special website designed for this Round:
